Geelong Street Art

Short Term Street Art: Fauxier Lane

April 9, 2021 by

I was taking a shortcut through a Little Malop Street laneway recently when I noticed that the back of the Piano Bar looked different. Most street art pieces in Geelong are limited to just the once style: they are a paste up, mural, slap or stencil.

This was something completely different. It was a mixture of styles overlapping each other to create this brilliant artwork. I was so excited: I love the street art in Geelong, but everything is so fragmented.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be. myheadsajungle created this work as a background for a photo shoot with Art Simone. I was lucky enough to stumble upon it when I did, as it only lasted a couple of days.

Hopefully we see more coordinated efforts to improve Geelong’s street art scene. This piece shows us what is possible.
